Starting on Sunday, April 12th and continuing for several weeks, we will embark on a study titled “Holy Ambition”. During this study, we will explore the book of Nehemiah with guidance from Chip Ingram.
The God of the universe is looking for regular people to accomplish things beyond our wildest dreams. In this series, based on Nehemiah 1 – 6, we’ll learn how God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things and the process by which He molds men and women for His purposes.
Here’s a summary from the Living on the Edge website.
Holy Ambition
It’s Time for a Church that Shakes the World.
It’s time for holy ambition. It’s time for Christians to live like Christians and for a church that shakes the world. This means going beyond what the Christian subculture tells us what is right and holy and acceptable. It means that we dare to become the people God wants us to become: people who will let Him do a powerful work in us and through us.
God isn’t looking for the brightest and the best. He’s looking for people who are willing to live on the edge – people who so deeply long to see God’s agenda fulfilled in this fallen world that they attempt what seems impossible, ridiculous, and “outside the box,” for God’s glory. Are you one of them?
In this series based on Nehemiah 1 – 6, we’ll learn how God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things and the process by which He molds men and women for His purposes. We’ll learn the six conditions that God looks for in the lives of people he uses: a dislocated heart, broken spirit, radical faith, strategic plan, personal commitment, and a courageous soul.
Holy Ambition includes the following messages:
- The Holy Ambition
- Develop a Dislocated Heart
- Experience a Broken Spirit
- Practice a Radical Faith
- Create a Strategic Plan
